Description
We are now looking for a Coordinator for Social Assistance (Försörjningsstöd) in connection with the national activity requirement reform. This is a new role where you will have the opportunity to help develop the municipality's approach to the activity requirement and create a well-functioning collaboration between Social Assistance, the Employment Unit, and other actors.
From July 1, 2026, a new activity requirement will apply within social assistance. The reform means that municipalities must offer activities that strengthen the individual's opportunities to move closer to self-sufficiency. The activities should be adapted to the individual's conditions and contribute to increased work capacity, strengthened motivation, and improved opportunities to establish themselves on the labor market.
Responsibilities
As a coordinator, you will become a key person in ensuring that participants receive the right activity, the right information, and coherent support throughout the entire process. You will work at the interface between official authority duties and labor market measures. You will serve as an important link between case officers, participants, and activity providers, working to ensure that the entire process functions efficiently with the participant's needs in focus. The position involves both practical work with participants and responsibility for coordination, follow-up, and development.
You will, among other things:
- Coordinate the process between case officers, participants, and activity providers.
- Ensure that participants receive clear information before their activity.
- Be the contact person for participants regarding questions related to the activities.
- Monitor attendance and ensure functioning reporting routines.
- Provide practical support to participants based on their individual needs.
- Collaborate with the Employment Unit, Development Center, Swedish Public Employment Service, Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other relevant actors.
- Report development needs and deviations to the supervisor or manager.
- Participate in reporting and accounting to the Swedish Inspectorate of Social Welfare (IVO).
An important part of the position is also to contribute to the development of the operations. You will, among other things:
- Follow up on how the activities function for the participants.
- Analyze results and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop routines for attendance reporting and information transfer.
- Develop working methods together with the manager and colleagues based on needs.
- Contribute with material for follow-up and quality work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in, for example, social work, behavioral science, labor market, pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
To succeed in the position, you enjoy creating structure and getting people and operations to work together. You are confident in meetings with people and have an easy time building trusting relationships. At the same time, you are structured, proactive, solution-focused, and have the ability to keep several processes together simultaneously. You also need to be accustomed to documentation and administrative tasks.
We see that you have a respectful approach, are communicative, have high personal maturity, are unpretentious, and thrive in a role where collaboration and flexibility are prerequisites for success.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
